Live music

The Opera House Theater is well known for its impeccable acoustics and intimate setting, which makes it a favorite musicians to perform in. The Philipsburg Theatre offers six live music performances annually, with a diverse mix of country, classical, acoustic, jam bands and more.

live theatre

Originally built for theater, the Opera House shines most brightly when actors get on stage and perform for live audiences. In 2023, the Philipsburg Theatre plans to offer one seasonal performance as well as six weeks of weekend summer theater.

Movies

Many locals tell stories of going to see movies like Jaws, Ghostbusters and ET back in the late 1900s. We are happy to once again offer movies on the big screen twice a month: one for children and one for adults. Inquire about joining our movie club, where you get to decide what gets shown.

an eclectic mish mash

Perhaps the most fun thing about the Philipsburg Theatre is that you never know what type of event is coming your way. Haunted Houses, burlesque shows, local talent competitions and school choir, dance recitals and kids theatre camps are just a few examples of the diverse programming offered at the Opera House.
